For those who have installed a reverse osmosis or household water filtration system and have chosen not to utilize the in-unit water filter. The Sub-Zero Water Filter By-Pass Plug is recommended to ensure water is properly delivered to your ice maker and/or water dispenser. For built-in models after serial #4134313, to bypass water filtration simply remove filter.

The water filter bypass plug, part number 7011209, bypasses the water filter on Classic (Formerly Built-In) units with a push-in pull-out filter

Units with a twist-in filter do not need a bypass plug

Push-in pull-out filters have two prongs

Twist-in filters have one
