It's an exciting day when your new furniture arrives at your home, expertly delivered by our in-house delivery team. You set it up, take in the new furniture smell, and keep going about your day...
But, you may be wondering what's next. How do you keep your new furniture looking great for years to come? We're here to show you how!
Fabric Care
- Always check the fabric cleaning code (usually located on the tag under the seat or under the furniture piece).
- Regularly vacuum your upholstery with a soft brush attachment.
- Regularly rotate and flip cushions, and don't forget to fluff toss cushions, and back cushions, as well.
- Protect from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Blot up spills rather than scrubbing aggressively.
Leather Care
- Protect from direct sunlight to prevent fading. This is especially important with leather upholstery.
- Regularly dust your leather furniture.
- When wiping, use a damp cloth and always dry afterwards. This eliminates any oil build-up that can discolour your leather pieces.

Wood Care
- Dust with a soft, microfibre cloth regularly.
- When washing, dry immediately afterwards.
- Protect from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
- Do your research before using furniture polishes.
- Try to use coasters, placemats, and tablecloths to extend the life of your wood furniture.

Metal Care
- Avoid all-purpose cleaners, abrasive cleaners, and furniture polishes. All you need is a damp cloth for wiping and a dry cloth for drying to keep it looking its best.
- Dust regularly to extend the life of your metal furniture.
Glass Care
- Glass can scratch easily, so protect your glass furniture with placemats, felt pads, etc.
- Dust with a soft cloth.
- Glass cleaners work great, just make sure to avoid overspray on other materials, such as wood.
